 About Us

Pint-Size Playhouse is an award-winning Licensed Home Preschool, located in South Austin. We’ve created an amazing preschool program that has received state and local awards for our values, quality, and dedication to young children.  Our home preschool focuses on the whole child, providing high-quality child care in an eco-friendly learning environment. We feel that we are an extension of each child's family. We want to partner with families and feel like a "second home" to our students.

  • We are a Licensed Home Preschool ~ Licensed and regulated through Texas Health and Human Services (formerly known as Texas Department of Family and Protective Services)

  • Certified Wildlife Habitat® ~ National Wildlife Federation. Our preschool’s sustainable outdoor play yard is like having an outdoor classroom. Children are given the opprotunity to hone in on their innate curiosity and creativity surrounding nature.

  • Natural plant-based hand soaps.

  • Stainless steel cups.

  • Enrichment Classes:

    1. Bliss Kid Yoga - Ms. Jordan has designed a 30-minute relaxing yoga and meditation class for young children.  She teaches balance, peace,  stretching,  relaxing,  and mindfulness. Ms. Jordan visits  to our preschool once a month.

    2. Ms. Emma's Music and Movement - Ms. Emma is the creator of Music and Movement classes for Austin Public Library. Her classes help develop body and spatial awareness, listening skills, social skills, creativity, and musicality (rhythm, phrasing, tempo.) Ms. Emma believes learning should never be boring so she intentionally created her program to nurture child development while maximizing FUN! Ms. Emma visits our classroom twice a month .
